Tactical understanding of paintball game, especially during a scenario based paintball competition is crucial for your team’s success, together with how to use the paintball accessories correctly to ensure that you do end with a positive outcome. Having the right tactics is necessary, and you can only gain it through experience together with adopting the right approach during your game. Rather then acting all battle crazy, act patient. Patience is always helpful, especially in a game of paintball. Here are certain tips that would really help you the next time you participate in a competition and avoid getting hit hard!
Most players make the mistake of trying to move very fast during the game. This results in two fallouts. The first one is your alertness levels collapse. When you move really fast, your head bows down and you look directly at the ground right in front of them. Therefore, when you move, move with your head facing up with your marker in a low ready position. Also, look around the area and observe, especially on your back. Secondly, you attract attention when you are moving very fast. Even though this fall out is quite obvious and basic, but at the same time, many of us make this mistake, and forget about this fact during the game itself. Most people end up pulling out their markers really quick, start shooting, and then start running quickly while trying to adjust their accessories. Therefore, when you are moving, don’t move quickly. Since you are wearing camouflage apparel, you need to move very slowly in order to remain concealed.
According to research, most of us have a 7 second attention span. You will ignore everything around you, unless it captures your attention within seven seconds. This fact is very crucial from the tactical perspective. This means that if something sits still just for a few seconds, you will lose concentration on it and your mind will think about something else. Therefore, when you are stuck in an ambush, sit still, and limit your movements to a bare minimal, and only when necessary. Self control is the key here; you need to develop tolerance for the presence of different insects, especially mosquitoes, don’t worry about sweating dripping and control your coughs and sneezes. You can develop this tolerance with time and effort.
Develop your concentration levels, and take the game, as if the situation exists in real, as if you really need to safe your life. This means, totally pulling yourself into the game, and making yourself a part of it. Think like this, you are in complete danger, or a family member or a loved one is stuck in a hostile environment and you need to rescue them. If you think like this, you will start taking and understanding the game on a more professional level.
Some people act very over smart during the game, while suggesting that is their tactic, and that they are very extremely tactical players. For example, they will wear a camouflage apparel, and then start moving around the woods pretending that they are invisible while they move like big elephants. While its ok if you are in the mood of having fun, but if you really want to win, then you have to get yourself organized and disciplined. Tactical paintball is all about your thinking process and alertness. The right plan is necessary for a scenario based paintball game, and make sure you have the right paintball accessories.
